Frequence

Frequence is the product of two of the dance community's most influential DJs and producers, Yves Deruyter and Marcel Woods.

Yves Deruyter started his DJ career about 17 years ago playing in famous Belgian clubs such as Globe, Barocci & Cherrymoon. Currently he's back playing in his old club Cherrymoon and is also a resident every first Friday of the month in Fuse (for Mad Club). As so many DJ's do he started an artist career. His first release 'Animals' became a big club hit in Belgium. At this stage people started requested Yves to play at big raves such as May Day, Energy, Nature One, Trance Energy, Mysteryland, Gatecrasher and I love Techno. With his second single he made a big jump into the German market. 'Rave City' became a big success with more than 50.000 copies sold. The follow up 'Calling Earth' was again a success with over 70.000 singles sold. All this was the start of a successful story. 'A Story About House' was to be the next Cherrymoon Trax single which was followed by "The Rebel" which became the international breakthrough for Yves Deruyter. This single was also the announcement for his first album "D-Album" containing all his singles which was followed by the albums 2001 and Back to Earth. His most recent release "Spiritual Feeling/Y.D.O.T." did well all over Europe. Yves Deruyter's vision of his future in music is and will always be the same: making music for the people. For him it is important that the people have fun while they're listening/dancing to his music.

Marcel Woods is responsible for a fast growing popularity of harder styles of trance/techtrance within Benelux and large crowds of fans follow him from gig to gig. Marcel's first release was De Bom 2001 through Byte Records which sold well throughout Europe and was also released in the USA, China and Japan. Marcel has followed with success with a number of club stormers on ID & T Records. Marcel's remix work has always been important and includes remixes for Analog Systems and S.H.O.K.K. but his work on Sensation Theme Song in 2002 was one of the highlights of the year. But this ride will not stop, he's on the loose now. Besides DJ-ing Marcel is also the label owner of Rytmic Records which has had some massive worldwide dance hits with the likes of the cover version of ABBA's 'Lay All Your Love On Me' and the project MDC with Sunny Trumpets which was released on the Strictly Rhythm label in the US. It is often said that Marcel Woods is a jack of all trades with a sublime musical taste.
