Kallisto - Somewhere (In This World)

What the artist says:
Vocal trance track which we feel has commecial appeal without being cheesy. To accomany this mix we have also mixes from kenny hayes and cloudchaser.

What we say:
'‘Somewhere' is a very fresh-faced trance track containing a lot of radiant elements in particular the intro is a very prodigious affair packed full of emotion and drive. I love the way the track starts with dark atmosphere with the tune gradually building in energy, fanciful melodies entwined with beautiful atmospheric effects.

Vocal drops in the track help to really build with the swooping synth lines and floating vocal effects. The tune gradually builds in energy with sparkling air that embraces you to hold your attention to the breakdown.

The breakdown has a melancholic feel to create a great mood then builds up fantastically to deliver the main tune again.

Top Track!

Karma Cronicle & Kyeden - Lost Pleasure

What the artist says:
Not really trance, but our own style of Electronica.

What we say:
Mystifying is a word that comes to mind when listening to ‘Lost Pleasure’ textures involved in this production are out of the ordinary and when combined generate a great feel. Style wise this is very individual and I could really see this being used in the commercial media or film sector.

Production through out is edgy and fresh the break beat type groove is united with a some great use of pad and synth work, drifting above is a haunting vocal chant which is very intricate and helps create a astonishing environment.

Elias - melodica

What the artist says:
This track i made in summer of 05...just something that i thought sounded kinda funky and unique...i think it has some nice emotion to it...its still a work in progress but i plan to finish it..i can def hear someone like eric prydz or ingrosso remixes of it.

What we say:
As a track this is very distinctive what I like about this the most is its simplicity (which in my opinion is the key to a great track:)

The way the track begins is very soothing and creates a mysterious edge this is then underpinned by a real atmospheric and innovative string pad, the development from then on is very impressive. When the main riff and rhythm come in dropping the pad section a whole new environment is created giving a really nice profound open edge.

Taken as an entirety the more I listen back to Melodica the more I like it which is a great sign in any production.

Robert Hayes - Breath

What the artist says:
This one is a a housey track with elements of electro ..

What we say:
This is an extremely accomplished piece of material definitely one to get the party started! It’s got a wicked groove throughout and gets the head nodding effortlessly, my only complaints are with the lead line and some of the arrangement when the full chord progression comes in.

I love the reverse vocal stabs combined with the squelched and funky bass line, to add dynamics the intermittent electro synth stabs on top help to create a great setting. Things start really well but the it all gets lost in the break down which is such a shame, the track then returns with the main chord progression and lead line but to me has a bit of a flat edge and sadly draws your attention from the quality that lies beneath.

With a bit more work and development this has all the markings of a great track!

Niklas Gustavsson - Far From Love

What the artist says:
Big room vocal trance with a summer feel!

What we say:
On first listen this caught my ear and brought a smile to my face, though straight away the over all feel is quite an obvious track and has a significant commercial edge however saying you can’t help getting drawn in by the beautiful emotions within this track.

Arrangement wise it builds really well to create an elevating vibe, in the main break down there are some eloquent moments combined with the vocal creates a fantastic summer atmosphere. On the down side (and it’s a shame there is one) but there are some dated sounds with in the track the main guitar synth lead comes to mind here although it still manages to push the right buttons to bring a beam of light in the room.

Overall I really like the track and enjoying reviewing it even though it is on the commercial edge. I guess I’m still a lover of classic sound! Great Demo…Thanks for uploading it :)

Love Spreader - I caught it off you

What the artist says:
This is quite different from what I normally produce and has quite a dark side to it. I put this together as a result of an experience I had so the emotions run quite strong in through out.

What we say:
Firstly thanks for uploading your track really like the title btw ;) From the off I think you could develop the mood and texture within the track a bit further, as my only concern is it seems to be a bit lost in its bearing over all.

Nevertheless we have the groundings of a great track here and in spite of slight direction issue the tune really hit me hard in the chest on play back especially when the drums are fully in, you really have captured a great vibe.

Top work we are really keen to see how you develop this… keep us updated!
