International shipping disclaimer
This disclaimer applies to all international orders from Mondo Records. Please read it carefully before placing your order.
Shipping within the UK
For all orders shipped within the UK, all taxes are included in the product price, and no additional customs charges will be levied.
Shipping to PDDP Territories
For orders shipped to the following countries, we use a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) service via Royal Mail. This means all local VAT and customs charges are collected at the time of purchase, and no additional fees will be requested upon delivery.
PDDP Countries: Austria, Cyprus, France, Germany, Luxembourg (up to €150), Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Switzerland, and the USA (up to $800).
Shipping to Non-PDDP Territories
For all other territories, including Australia, Japan, and New Zealand, we use a Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) service. This means local taxes (such as GST in New Zealand), customs duties, and handling fees are not included in your product or shipping costs.
- The customer is responsible for paying all such charges upon the parcel’s arrival in their country.
- Mondo Records has no control over these fees and cannot predict what they will be. We recommend checking with your local customs office to determine any potential charges before placing an order.
Refusal of delivery
If an international order is refused by the customer due to unexpected customs charges, the parcel will be returned to us. In such cases:
- The original shipping cost is non-refundable.
- The customer will be responsible for the cost of the return shipment.
- Mondo Records will issue a refund for the product price only, minus any return shipping or customs fees incurred by us.
Damaged items and claiming customs fees
Your recourse for a damaged item depends on who paid the customs fees.
- If the customer paid the customs fees (DDU): The buyer is responsible for claiming a refund of any import duties and taxes paid on a damaged item directly with their country’s customs authority. This can be a complex process. Our standard postage insurance covers the cost of the goods and initial shipping only, and we will process a claim for you accordingly.
- If Mondo Records paid the customs fees (PDDP): In territories where we use our Delivered Duties Paid (PDDP) service, we cover all customs and tax charges upfront. If a damaged item is returned to us, we will handle the reclamation of customs fees as part of our own administrative process. The customer will be entitled to a full refund or a replacement, as determined by our returns policy, without any involvement in customs-related paperwork.
Customer responsibility
By placing an international order with Mondo Records to a non-PDDP territory, you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are responsible for understanding and paying all local customs duties, taxes, and handling fees.
- Mondo Records will not be liable for any costs or delays resulting from a parcel being held by customs.
- You will be liable for the return shipping costs if you refuse delivery of your order
